What is volunteering?
According to the Law on Volunteering of the Republic of Serbia, volunteering is a voluntary, organized, and unpaid activity through which an individual, in accordance with their free time, knowledge, and skills, provides services or activities in the public interest, for the common good, or for the benefit of another person, without financial compensation.
Through volunteering, citizens actively contribute to community development, help organizations achieve their goals and missions, expand networks of solidarity, and participate in building trust and social cohesion.
Why is this questionnaire important?
By answering this questionnaire, each volunteer organizer has the opportunity to:
- – assess their current capacity for organizing and supporting volunteers,
- – identify areas that need further development,
- – evaluate how volunteer engagement can better contribute to achieving the organization’s goals, mission, and vision.
In this way, organizations improve the quality of their volunteer programs and strengthen their capacity to mobilize the wider community— which is a core value of the platform www.volonterinamrezi.rs.
